George (asda) Flawless Creme Foundation Review
George (asda) flawless creme foundation in no 2 biscuit beige RRP £6 currently on offer for £3.
I love the wake me up foundation by rimmel and it is my go to foundation or I use my BB cream, but im still on a ever longer quest for an amazing and cheap foundation. I was in Asda today and ended up at their make up section, seen this for £3 and thought I have to give it a try.
The Packaging is black and sleek, when you open it up, you find there are two compartments, one for the foundation and one for the sponge, their is also a good size mirror with it too.
That is where the good parts end, unfortunately I found the creme to be less creamy and more greasy, It's not really soft to the touch either but feels really oily. It took a lot of product to give medium coverage and after trying to build it up found it to be a hopeless endeavour!
The product seems to sit in the pores and after 3 attempts at building it up, It was just moving the existing product around. It gives light to medium coverage and really did not get rid of the redness on my cheeks at all. Also It's not great for wear, After 1 hour of letting it 'set' If i touch my face you can see the transfer onto my hands.
Maybe I was hoping for too much from a £3 foundation, but, when you think about it, it's normally £6 and for that money you can get the rimmel wake me up or any other number of foundations that do a superb job.
I think the only use for this may be as a concealer, but more than likely I will not use it at all. There are definitely worse product out there but all I can say is that this one has not impressed me and I will not be buying it again.
DIY Sugar Lip Scrub
- I found a site with the recipe for a DIY Lip Scrub here and I felt compelled to do it myself. I'm not really one for making things myself, I tend to leave it to the people that know best, but as this was so simple and easy I felt that I had to try it. The original turorial link above is much more indepth of properties of ingredients and better photos, but I felt I needed to give it a go to show just how easy it was to make!
- all you need is
2 tablespoons of pure coconut oil
2 tablespoons of honey
2 teaspoons of brown sugar
a mixing bowl
some small pots to put your finished scrub into.
Put the two tablespoons of pure coconut oil in your mixing bowl and add the two tablespoons of honey, mix them together until they form a paste. If the mixture is a little too gooey add a little bit more coconut oil into it.
Make sure you get out all the lumps out of the coconut oil and that it is covered in the honey completely, this is the longest part of the whole process and does give your arm a work out too!
- once it has got to the right paste like consistency add the two teaspoons of brown sugar and mix well, if you have any oil from the coconut oil in the bottom of your jar you could add a teaspoon to your mixture to smooth it out more and too give added moisturisation to your scrub.
Once all the brown sugar is mixed into the mixture and covered well, its time to put it into the pots that your have ready and waiting. you can use anything, I had some small jars around but you can use baby food jars or herb pots, whatever you have around.Once finished store in fridge and it should keep for 2 weeks.
I have used it and it really is moisturising and makes your lips soft.It feels strange after you have used it as if you have been kissing someone for ages, lips feel slightly numb and tender, but not painful at all, after 20 mins the feeling goes and your left with soft lips that feel well moisturied.
I make a pot for my friend Laura as well as myself. I will be making this more often as its a damn site cheaper than any other scrub i've seen!

How to Try and Beat a Cold!
It's
that time of the year again and as the temperature has dropped the bugs
seem to hang on for dear life and make you feel miserable.
For as long as I can remember I have been susceptible to cold and flu, where a normal person may have 2 or 3 illnesses a year I tend to get at least 7.
I was born with a hole in my heart due to a premature birth, I believe this has weekend my immune system a little bit, either that or my immune system is just crap at it's job, either way I get ill a lot.
When I am ill, whether it is cold or flu (preferable the first one) there are a few things I do without fail. I don't really know if they even work anymore as I have been doing them for so long.
1) Lots of fluids including orange juice or dissolvable vitamin c tablets, I tend to stay away from fizzy drinks and tea. However I have drunk a lot of Honey tea, just put some Honey into hot water as honey has a natural ingredient that kills off bacteria.
2) Tissues, lots and lots of tissues, my nose tend to work overtime on cold duty and I go through so much.
3) Vaseline, for if my nose does get sore its the least painful thing to use to sooth the area.
4) Vicks Vapo rub or Olbas Oil inhaler. for the chest these are really helpful, they may not be the nicest smelling things in the world and even if you don't think they are working they are usually doing lots of good and helping you.
5) Tablets, cold and Flu ones that help reduce temperature or just normal paracetamol, either way I can't get through a illness without a few, even if its just to ease the banging head that comes with any cold!
6) Wrap up, and use a hot water bottle at night. I tend to try and sweat the cold out , but as I cant deal with too much heat this doesn't really work too well, but it makes you feel cwtchy.
7) Try and get as much sleep as I can, I would sleep through the hole thing if my body would allow it!
8) Eat, even if I don't really want to, I will have 2 pieces of toast, just to keep my energies up and fuel the fight with the cold!
9) Hot baths. not only is the vapor from the bath good for clearing away your runny nose for a while it gives you a boost and relaxes your sore muscles.
There is a lot of advice out there to help you with your cold/flu but as everyone is different, what may work for me may not work for you, Trial and Error is the key

My Week
I've not done a lot last week, I manicured my nails and thought they are anything but perfect they are 100times better than they were 4 months ago, I used to bite the nail and pick the skin around the nail and the quick. another 4 months and they should look really good.
My hair is getting healthier, I have started to use Aussie, I used to use it all the time but for some reason I stopped, I'm just using the conditioner but my hair is a lot softer and shiny.
A love puzzle from my husband and a new house plant that I think is lovely.
Finally I tried a new up do, Its a bit messy but not bad and on an evening out I tried to stay natural with my make up, That's really it for this week. Ive been ill over the weekend so haven't really done much or gone anywhere. hopefully a more interesting week to come.

My Daily Items
This Is my daily life, I wash my hair with herbal essences and use Aussie 3 min hair conditioner, The Aussie hair conditioner is amazing. I would thoroughly recommend buying some if you have never used it before, It really does do what it says. I have a choice of body washes depending on my mood.
When I get out of the shower I tone my face and use a body butter to moisturise and then moisturise my face, when I'm all done I feel clean and soft. The body butter that I am currently using smells like fudge and is lovely. I got it for Christmas in a set and I have no idea where from.
What do you use for your daily life?

My mini Illamasqua haul
My Friend also picked me up a pure pigment the other week. Its funny how 3 months ago I had never even heard of Illamasqua, but now I drool over so many things.
Pure Pigment in Incite, Soft and Creamy but fallout galore. Illamasqua online £5.
Sheer Lipgloss in Diving, this is a thick and creamy gloss, but works better over a lipstick.
Under eye concealer in 320, this is really creamy and soft and blends really well,
Nail Varnish in Untold.
I haven't used the nail varnish yet, but I can't wait to have a few days when I can test it, My work does not allow bright varnish or glitter, so I have to wait until I have at least two days off for me to test the product fairly.
The lip gloss is not as bright as it looks in the pot and apart from wearing off too quickly is a good product.
All these are good products and of excellent quality and are worth the money, especially when they are on sale for only £5, BARGAIN!

Elementary Skincare Salt Scrub, Showe Wash and Body Lotion Review
Elementary smooth and replenish salt scrub RRP £19
Elementary delicatlely elegant body lotion RRP £13
Elementary gentle Hydrating shower wash RRP £11
Now available in sets here for £35, currently on offer at £17.50 as of 24/01/2013
When I bought these items they were on offer and I paid £29 for all 3. I'm not a big fan of the smell that these product give, they kind of remind me of earth. but It's a pleasant enough smell, just not my cup of tea.
So the salt, best used as an exfoliator on skin, just a teaspoon goes a long way and it takes maybe 3 to do your whole body. It feels really oily after you have rubbed it all over but the effect once you are dried is amazing and a oily body for a while is not the worst thing for soft skin. The other use is to get your circulation going in your hands and feet, this makes your hand look 10 years younger and it really does work. Just get a bowl with warm water and rub half a teaspoon all over each hand for 3 to 4 mins (4 to 5 for feet) messaging as you go, once massaged and rubbed soak your hands/feet in the water for a further few minutes. hands look better and feet feel rejuvenated.
The shower wash is OK, not as good as the salt, same smell and I think for me that is the main problem as to why I'm not a fan of it, I feel that shower wash should make you feel and smell great and this is as good as any other with the feel, but I just can't get on with the smell, I only really use it when I do the whole package, as the lotion makes me smell the same so there's no point in wasting good smelling wash.
Finally the body lotion, this works well too, it really does moisturise your skin and a little goes a long way, it is a little gloopy and takes quite a while to dry and settle into the skin, but once it has it is lovely, making he skin soft and smooth.
I do like these products, however I won't be repurchasing the shower wash unless its in a set. I will most certainly be buying the salt and possibly lotion but only if its on offer. I think its very overpriced for what it is and is only really worth it while it is on offer.
My Favourtie 'sex on heels' Shoes
After doing the post about the new shoes I bought, I felt inspired to
get my old shoes out and look at them and as I love all my shoes, I felt
that I needed to share the beauty of them. Now as I stated before I
cant really wear high heels any more, but that does not stop me looking
and lusting after shoes and I can not bring myself to throw these
beauties away. I call all my favourite shoes 'My Sex on Heels' I do now
know why, I picked it up from somewhere and I still use it!
So here goes,
Pair number one, A pair of Playboy open toed wedges that were from a sport shop and cost me £18, Im not too keen on them now, but I do still like them and can wear them with comfort as the platform takes away a lot of the height.
Next is a pair of satin style red heels with a knot decoration, these were from F&F and I paid (I think) £23.
This is my go to pair as they are not too high and go with a lot of things, they are a black and glittery pair.these I can not remember where I got them from, It may have been M&S but I really can't remember.
This pair is a purple sequined heels with a slight platform and were from M&S and cost £15, they were on sale.
My final favourite pair is a pair of black suede cut out boot shoes that are just stunning, they are the highest pair I own and can not wear them more than 5 mins without severe pain. These were from F&F and I think they were £20. My goal over the next year is to build up my ankles to be able to wear these out!

My Make up - Organised
I have decided to do a few posts on my daily life, so first of all I wanted to show you how I organise my make up. the gold tub has all my foundations, concealers, primers and blushes in. The black box holds all my eye things, Mascara, eye liner and lots of shadows, The pink glittery box holds all my lipgloses and lipsticks, I also have a few sets to big to box up.
I used to have all my make up loose in the draw, which in a way was easier to access but was not so easy to find my products, so I decided to do this. I want to get some drawer set to sit on top of my dresser, but I have to wait till pay day and to find ones I like. So this is my solution for now
These next pics are not organised, they are just collections that I was bought for Christmas/Birthday. I love my Front Cover sets, as you can see by the use of them. I especially love the one Cheek dome and use it all the time, Its great for my skintone. However I haven't really found a look to go with the other one yet, its too cool for my liking.
So there is all my male up and brushes and what I do to keep them organised, What do you do?
